How to Dress The « Neo-Bourgeoise » Trend?

Back to a more wearable fashion, a few high brands update lately the style codes of « Bon chic bon genre » with elegance at its core.

A trend that mixes timeless design back from the ’70s with a so chic « je ne sais quoi » that ends to « classy with a twist » outfits.
And even if (like me) you don’t usually spend your shopping day at Celine, YSL or Burberry, it’s a trend that you can easily make yours for this new season.

What would be the perfect pieces to dress this « Neo bourgeoise » trend? (not to be confused with the more conventional, classic and boring « bourgeoise » style.
1/ A trench, worn with a pair of knee-high boots like here
A Cord Trench Coat: a different way to wear the classic trench coat
2/ A Blazer (don’t forget to choose the right cut)
Blazers

3/ A tweed skirt, like one of these
3/ A culotte pants (Yes they are back!)
4/ A Tie Neck Blouse:
Pussy-bow blouses
6/ One of these classic shoes

Crocodile Moccasins With Chain (Claudie Pierlot)

7/ And don’t forget the scarves!
Or a cute rain hat like this one…
A lot of these pieces can also be found among second-hand websites, like Vestiaire Collective, just to name one I trust and often shop.
Last « French style » advice: don’t forget to mix it with modern pieces as a pair of jeans, a colored bag, a tee, sneakers or army boots… anything that will make a balance and says you are chic but not « dusty »…
