My Favorite French Designer of the Moment- 2/3 – Patricia Blanchet

Patricia Blanchet

Less world famous than Cate and very discreet (you won’t find any picture of her in Google…), my n°2 crush is for Patricia.

Patricia Who?

Patricia Blanchet, of course! All Parisian girls already know her exclusive boutique in Paris 10e!

Born in a shoemaker family, she and her husband began creating shoes for famous high brands. Then with her son and daughter-in-law, she began to dream of her own label and, finally, launched it in 2009.

Patricia Blanchet store in ParisIf you pass by rue Beaurepaire, be very attentive: there is no brand sign in the street and no shoes in the shop window!

As this unique « Circus » style boutique lets imagine, Patricia Blanchet is a true independent Parisian spirit who doesn’t really care about trends or fashion.

She is only aimed by curiosity and passion.

Her philosophy?

– high-quality leather

– exclusive, playful and glamorous design

– comfortable heels height and arches

– designer shoes at affordable prices (from 150 € for stilettos ; 200 € for low-boots)

In no time this winning combination to be stylish with a limited budget was outstandingly successful! As production is handmade, each season new collections gets shortly out of stock on her website.

She recently has been chosen by Christopher Doyle to create all the shoes of the actress who will play the remake of Barbarella. I can’t wait to discover them!

Here are some of her iconic models

The fifty-five low-boots. A very feminine model, matchable and easy to wear with anything from jeans to straight skirts and as comfortable as slippers! I’ve got a camel and a black pair and wear them since years…

Then declined in different versions named…

          Kronengerg                                                            Kiki                                         Kaktus…

Her heels are a cocktail of vintage « Hollywood glamour » always balanced with a pinch of modernity

Aren’t they stupendous!

  1. Fabulous post, Cecile! These shoes are wonderful. So many modern shoes are ugly, unwearable or both! These shoes are so stylish, and could be worn by a woman of any age. I’m saving up for that trip to Paris!n

    • You’re right Anna, they can easily be worn at any age, with all different styles of clothes… Happy that you like it too!!
