If you know how to mix them, clothes can be our best friends!
Knowing few tricks, you can easily look 10 pounds thinner !
1 – Unless you’re a supermodel : always avoid horizontal stripes for the bottoms. Especially the large stripes ones.
2 – Wear heels : ok it’s less comfortable than flat shoes but you instantly look thinner with heels. « C’est comme ça »! But avoid the ones with straps or anything around the ankle (or that »ll cut the legs).
3- Big Bust : avoid lighter colors on top ( they will overemphasize your bust size) and go for a geometric-shaped top with a slim pant. You will have a more balanced look.
4- Top-Heavy : avoid skinny jeans and other cuts that make the lower half appear disproportionately lean. Match a darker color on top with a light-colored A-line skirt that falls just below the knee for a more balanced overall look. Look for cinched shirts below the bust line – often the smallest part of the torso – to achieve an hourglass shape.
5- Big hips : go for flat front pants, which are always a winner.
Don’t be afraid to wear a black pencil skirt with black tights. It will make your hips do a disappearing act!
6- Larger Bottom: Try a shirt with a collar that draws the eyes toward the face, a three-quarter length coat or an A-line skirt to bring your bottom into balance with the rest of your body.
7- Larger middle: Skinny jeans and low-rise jeans are not friends of a larger middle. They can distort your body by pushing your skin into unflattering configurations, such as the dreaded muffin top.
The trick is to fit your largest part first and work from there. You should pay particular attention to where the crotch seam begins, making sure if fits well. Typically, higher rise jeans with a flare tend to balance out a larger middle. Try to stay away from form-fitting shirts with the exception of a ruched shirt, in which the fabric has been gathered and stitched for a rippled effect that draws the eye into the waist, creating a cinched-at-the-waist look.
8- Curvy All Over: Curvy women benefit from more structured clothing, for instance, a leather jacket that sits just above the hip, or a skirt that flatters your curves. Avoid frills and frippery; lacy, ruffled tops will only add volume. Instead, mix different fabrics or colors on the top and bottom to create a defined waistline.

9- Big arms or muscular arms : Forget tank tops and all kind of t-shirts without sleeves which makes you look like a mover or a trucker driver ! Instead, prefer loose sleeves, long sleeves or flared 3/4 sleeves : it will cover your arms with much more femininity.
10- Unless you have great legs : Always avoid white pants, white leggings and white tights (or flesh colored). Dark colors (brown, navy blue, black) will always make your legs look much thinner !
